Convince yourself that your association has the potential to add enormous value to your members’ experience. You don’t have to TUG to pull members in.
Convince yourself that by choosing a target audience and knowing them very well, you can use that knowledge to be more relevant.
Convince yourself that if you don’t resource marketing properly, you will not advance your value.
Convince yourself that with a clear message platform, you can establish a better connection with your members.
Convince yourself that creating a communications plan compels you segment, target, and measure your efforts against your association’s goals.
Convince yourself that good customer service is not enough.
Barriers you might be up against:
- I don’t have time to create a communications plan
- I can’t invest in a plan I’ll never use
- I can’t afford it
- I can’t sell this to my board
- I don’t have a marketing department
- Every department has different messages
