Managing email. Ugh. There are so many promising practices out there, but no silver bullet:
– I’ve tried folders for “action” and “leads.”
– I’ve tried copying messages to file folders in mail by client.
– I copy to-do items to my calendar.
I’ve given up clearing out my mail every day.
But when I want to make sure I will follow up on an email I have sent, my favorite is www.followupthen.com.
Once you sign up, whenever you want to follow up on an email you have sent, enter the number of days that you want follow up, or a date. On that day, you’ll get an email to “follow up!”
I surprise myself when my virtual assistant reminds me via email to make that follow up call!
