Rotary International
Service Above Itself
I am a proud Rotarian since 1996. We are part of 33,000 worldwide Rotary Clubs around the world, with more than 1.2M members. We share a passion for serving our community and making the world a better place. We enjoy friendships that develop from working side by side in service.
Among Rotary International’s significant contribution to the world is Polio Plus – a worldwide polio eradication initiative.
Our local Club is known for our annual July 4th fireworks event, the the largest, free, family-oriented July 4 festival in the Midwest, with estimated attendance of over 80,000. We raise appx $100,000 – and present the proceeds to local charities. The event honors veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who served in conflicts around the world.
I served as Club President in 2006, and currently serve on the Board of Trustees of our Foundation, and chair the July 4th marketing committee. Rotary presented me with our club’s highest honor, the Ben Craig Distinguished Service award in 2015.
