Survey nSights Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  How do I know I’m asking the right questions?
A.  Good questions are tied to the goals for your survey. Establish two or three goals before you begin, to keep you focused on the feedback that will help make the change you are looking for. nSight Marketing survey questions come from surveying over 100,000 of trade association members.

Q.  How do I get the maximum response rate?

A.  First, send an advance letter.  Next, offer an incentive.  Even a small incentive will help response rates.  We can provide ideas.

Q.  Can you give ideas about out how an Executive should communicate results to membership?
A.  With Survey Classic, the report will include recommendations for communicating results to your members.

Q.  What is the advantage of year-over-year surveying?
A.  Your first survey established a benchmark. Your next survey will help measure progress you make year over year. Maintain consistency in your questions and you will be able to see measurable impact of the changes you make in your services or your delivery systems.

Q.  If I want to tell another Association Executive about this offer, where can I get more information?
A.  Please do! Send them the link to www.nsightmarketing.com/survey-nsights-2/.

Q.  Which questions will be used to compare associations to each other?
A.  There are at least five overall questions in several association function used for comparison in your results: satisfaction, staff, communications, PAC efforts, education offerings.

Q.  If I want to shorten the survey  or add questions, can I do that?
You can shorten either survey if you wish.  You can lengthen Survey Classic and substitute write in questions. Survey Light is a maximum survey length at 25.

Q.  How long does a survey take to get results?
A.  You should plan for 45 – 60 days:
– 15 days (minimum) to set up the survey and send advance letter
– 14 days for deployment (includes two deployments)
– Documented results vary on the product: 7 days for Survey Light, 30 days for Survey Classic.

Q.  If nSight Marketing conducts my survey, how can I be sure you’ll only use my database for this purpose?
A.  The Statement of Work includes a confidentiality clause. If you are still unsure, we can do a work-around so that you send out the survey link yourself. This is a little less “trackable” and anonymous but we are happy to use a different deployment process to fit your needs.
